About

Zack Zagranis is a punk rock Jedi slumming it in New Hampshire. He writes horror and satire for fun and profit (mostly fun). He occasionally writes clickbaity pop culture pieces to pay the bills.

Zack is a husband, father, geek, misanthrope, feminist, and caffeine addict—not necessarily in that order.

A mentally ill college dropout, Zack started writing later in life following a string of dead-end jobs, mainly convenience stores and fast food joints. He got his first tattoo–a bat symbol on his arm– at age 40.

Zack thinks that trans women are women and that trans rights are human rights. He also thinks abortion is healthcare.

Zack hates listing his accomplishments but knows that it’s a necessary evil to “grow his brand,” so here it goes:

His horror drabbles Be Mine, Why Not Take All Of Me?, Till Death Do Us Part, Self Made Man, The First Cut Is The Deepest, Heart Shaped Box, and To The Moon And Back appear in the anthology Love Me, Love Me Not: Dark tales of Love, Lust, and Lunacy from Black Hare Press.

Zack’s short story Feed Us appears in the feminist horror anthology MINE: An Anthology of Body Autonomy Horror from Creature Publishing.

Zack’s story, Along For The Ride, is scheduled to be published in the upcoming road-trip horror anthology Dead Hookers In Gas Station Bathrooms from Sinister Smile Press.

Zack has written satire for several Onion rip-offs, including Runt of the Web and the Whole Wheat Post

His movie and television reviews have appeared on several websites you’ve never heard of, as well as a couple you have: Den of Geek and Giant Freakin Robot.

You can find Zack Zagranis on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and on his couch, scrolling through his phone instead of working.
